Nothing will come out from the expectations of Bulgarian organizations that the presidents of Macedonia and Bulgaria will jointly participate in the commemoration of the Bulgarian army in Strumica. Instead of Novo Selo, the official meeting between Ivanov and Radev scheduled for Sunday will be held in Dojran.
Although initially a large part of the Bulgarian organizations were glad that the two presidents would mark a great day for the Bulgarian state, Ivanov said no chance – the meeting will be held at another location, since it is not a state ceremony. The head of the foundation “Bulgarian Mind” (there is such a thing?) on April 21st publicly praised that he had met with the guard of the two countries and looked at the place where the historic meeting of the presidents Ivanov and Radev in Novo Selo will take place on May 6th.
“I am very proud that I will be honored for the first time with such a high delegation. Every year, Macedonian politicians and representatives of the church come here, and now the rank is growing – attention will be paid not only to the representatives of the great powers, through their military attachés, but also to the two heads of state and their cabinets, “Milen Vrabeski told the Bulgarian agency BGNES.
President Gjorge Ivanov in Dojran on Sunday (May 6th) will meet with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, who will pay a working visit to the Republic of Macedonia. Bulgarian President Radev will attend a commemorative ceremony in Novo Selo on 6 May, informs the Cabinet of the Macedonian President. Ivanov will not take part in it.
The Macedonian president will return the favor and visit Bulgaria in June.
By this logic, we expect Merkel to attend commemoration of the German Army in Warsaw.
