US Ambassador Jess Baily required 8 VMRO-DPMNE MPs to live-stream their votes via a special channel to the US Embassy. This was an insurance policy in case the MPs tried to trick the Americans and not vote! Below is a screen capture of MP Elizabeta Kancevska Mileska doing just that.
Should be noted that this level of control, meddling and interference by the US Embassy, at least not as openly as in Macedonia is not seen even in countries who are de-facto under US control as protectorates.
Initially we reported that GROM’s Pancho Minov received less money than other VMRO-DPMNE MP who gave their vote for the name change. However, it appears that Minov did have a nice pay day, the GROM MP received 300,000 euros for his vote, which is still less than what the VMRO-DPMNE MPs received for theirs: 500,000 euros, others 400,000 + new apartment etc.
Elizabeta Kanceska Mileska apart from the large cash payment was also offered a Ministerial role in the Government.
