SDS mayor of Skopje Petre Shilegov has just announced that by way of a miracle the fountain mechanism at Alexander the Great Statue was “stolen”.
Yes, the 250kg mechanism from a fountain that has 24/7 policemen patrolling it, locals and tourists present during the day and night was stolen.
But not to worry, said the mayor. The city has already issued a 200,000 euro contract to replace the ‘stolen’ mechanism. Yes, the SDS mayor is so efficient, that the same day the mechanism was stolen, he had already issued a contract to replace it.
Twitter and FB were flooded with comments that the SDS junta will pocket 200,000 euros to simply return the ‘stolen’ mechanism.
