Bulgarian journalist Victoria Marinova was raped and killed in the town of Ruse in northern Bulgaria, local media reported today.
Marinova, 30, editor of TVN, was killed yesterday. She worked as a research journalist. Marinova reported on allegations of massive corruption related to funds from the European Union.
Police quickly said there is no evidence that the killing is related to her job. However, anti-corruption organizations and Members of EP called for a full investigation into her death.
