Petrit Vasili, the coordinator of the parliamentary group of Albania’s third-largest political force, the Socialist Integration Movement, accused the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama of a “new scandal” by which Europe’s trash will be brought to Albania for recycling.
According to him, China, a country that recycled 85 percent of Europe’s waste, has chosen a drastic reduction in 24 categories of solid waste, including paper, plastic, textiles.
The prime minister’s strategy for recycling waste in Albania has been exposed. China no longer accepts the waste of Europe, and Edi Rama will happily receive it in Albania, turning the country into a landfill of dangerous and hazardous waste, – stated Vasili.
