Overnight Debar lake has lost nearly 90% of its water supply, turning it from a large lake into a tiny river. The reason is $$$. DUI and SDS officials in charge of hydropower station Shpilje released (sold) nearly all of the water to Albania so the neighbors can increase their electricity production.
