A record 40 patients, ten of whom are from Skopje, died due to Covid-19 related complications in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health informed on Monday.
40 people died, ten from Skopje (aged 66, 66, 76, 61, 51, 72, 52, 83, 49 and 84), two from Kumanovo (aged 77 and 77), three from Stip (aged 70, 62 and 80), five from Prilep (aged 63, 62, 66, 54 and 64), one patient from Tetovo (aged 55), two from Struga (aged 56 and 60), three from Veles (aged 70, 51 and 89), three from Bitola (aged 69, 69 and 71), two patients from Kavadarci (aged 67 and 78g), three from Gostivar (aged 71, 65 and 81), one patient from Dojran (aged 56), one from Strumica (aged 84), one from Krusevo (aged 76), one from Sveti Nikole (aged 68) and two patients from Kicevo (aged 75 and 81).
According to the Health Ministry, out of 1,683 COVID-19 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 591 new cases were registered in: Skopje-218, Kumanovo-47, Stip-21, Prilep-26, Tetovo-28, Struga-2, Veles-24, Bitola-36, Ohrid-2, Kavadarci-9, Gostivar-46, Strumica-22, Kriva Palanka -4, Radovis-1, Krusevo-2, Kocani-9, Probistip-3, Demir Hisar-1, Makedonski Brod-1, Pehcevo-1, Berovo-1, Valandovo-5, Vinica-10, Delcevo-5, Kratovo -1, Sveti Nikole-16, Kicevo-29, Resen-6, Negotino-15.
The Public Health Institute registered today 439 recovered patients from all over the country.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 47,636 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 27,803 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 1,345. At the moment, there are 18,488 active cases across the country.
