While majority of the Macedonian media was shocked of the illegitimate way the new prosecutor was selected, Kovachevski called Islam Abazi, a great prosecutor who deserved his position, despite being completely unknown in his profession. Abazi’s main qualification was being Ali Ahmeti’s neighbor in the village of Zajas.
Once the US Embassy showed its shock and dismay at Abazi’s selection, Tache Kovachevski, himself an unelected PM, was shocked and agreed with the US Embassy that Abazi was not the best choice for a leading prosecutor.
Just another day at the province of sub-Kosovo.
