Albeit with one week of delay, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel has congratulated Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on his appointment to the post and the Government formation.
“I sincerely congratulate you on the PM election. The Federal Government is a firm supporter to the goal of your country’s approximation to the European Union and NATO. The Federal Republic of Germany is delighted to provide support to your efforts. I look forward to meeting you personally at the next Western Balkans conference in Trieste on July 12”, says Merkel in the congratulating note.
