DPNE’s leader Hristijan Mickoski, after just over an hour’s attendance, left the leadership meeting held at the MP’s Club. In his statement, he sent a message to Zoran Zaev.

VMRO-DPMNE was part of the so-called meeting here in the Club of Representatives, together with the presidents of several political parties. It was true for us that the concept was not clear to us why all political parliamentary parties were not present at this meeting and we received an explanation that we really could not accept in the style that was explained to us, said Mickovski.

The party’s leader stressed that as a party they expressed a serious revolt and disagreement, as he said, for yesterday’s deviant and illegal behavior of government officials and the parliamentary majority.

  • In a way that has not been practiced in the political life in the Republic of Macedonia so far, the need for amending the Electoral Code without the support of the largest opposition party has been adopted, in order to reduce the number of MPs needed to vote in the new SEC members from 81 to 61 MPs. We, as VMRO-DPMNE, voiced our anger over this behavior, we explained the reasons why we leave this meeting of the parliamentary political parties that were invited, we apologize in our name to all parliamentary parties that were not part of this meeting, we really were not in the opportunity to act and protest on their behalf”, stressed Mickoski.
