DPNE’s leader Hristijan Mickoski last night in an interview with Kanal 5 when asked why he does not try to materialize the huge advantage of the local elections by organizing protests, said that due to the Ukrainian crisis it’s possible the “international community”, aka the US Embassy to accuse him of an attempt to destabilize the country.
I agree that there are no activities of the opposition in that direction. There are no protests. Many citizens approach me, contact me through social networks, ask for protests, for the people to take to the streets because, they say, things are not going well. That things are not going well is confirmed by the polls, more than 75 percent of the citizens think that the country is going in the wrong direction and that this government should leave. It creates great frustration and revolt and demands to protest, to take to the streets. But the real question is whether in that way, given the security crisis, when the Ukrainian crisis happens to us, we will not be declared by the international community as a political entity that tries to destabilize Macedonia, and thus to “We will give artificial respiration to this criminal government of SDSM and continue its rule,” Mickoski said.
The leader of DPNE stressed that in such conditions, when there is a war, one should be wise and patient, and not rock the boat.
