Music legend Zoran the Bottle Man Madzirov dies at 49

Zoran Madzirov born January 14, 1968 in Strumica was a renowned Macedonian percussionist, composer and the inventor of the Bottlephone.

Zoran performed with and was honored by stars such as Sting, Tito Puente, Tina Turner, Harry Belafonte, Scorpions, Tommy Emmanuel and others. He founded the group Les Barons Karamazoff in 1987 with Edin Karamazov (guitar, lute) and Sasa Dejanovic (Guitar).

Unfortunately, his life tragically ended today at the age of 49 after complications due to a car accident in which his vehicle struck a flipped semi-truck on the highway between Strumica and Radovish.

Madzirov was already in a coma when transferred to a Skopje clinic. The Ministry of Culture issued condolences to the Madzirov family.

    It sux. I don’t know the man that good.
    But, in that way i will say…
    …the way i know him, he was a real family guy. He do some money, then he send it to the States…
    …where his daughter was visiting a school.
    This days i was asking my self: Hey Maybe i See him again this year at the Festival for Buskers in Ludwigsburg…
    …but now I get the message about his dead.
    That Sux allot.
