SDS leader Zoran Zaev, accompanied by Nikola Dimitrov and Diaspora Minister Edmond Ademi, held talks in New York with representatives and chairpersons of United Macedonian Diaspora UMD) and the Forum for Democratic Macedonia (FDM), Meto Koloski and Makedonka Trajkovska respectively.
Zaev also delivered a speech at a reception organized by FDM, seeking the diaspora’s support of the government efforts for Macedonia’s economic prosperity, the PM’s Office said in a press release.
The government, Zaev said, has been taking a series of measures to support domestic companies, attract foreign investments and facilitate investments of the diaspora in Macedonia.
OMD and FMD voiced support for the diaspora to take active part in Macedonia’s economic development and its Euro-Atlantic integration processes.
‘We expect an invitation for NATO membership in the near future. Our hope for unconditional recommendation for EU accession talks is also realistic. Let all of us do our best for turning Macedonia’s strategic goals into reality,’ Zaev said in his address.
It’s not clear why would the UMD pose for a photo op with quislings who were installed in Government via a coup. If the UMD thinks they are representing Macedonians in North America…. they are not.
