The U.S. Coalition sent several military personnel, along with State Department officials to the northern Aleppo city of Manbij on Thursday.
The U.S. military personnel and State Department officials were pictured touring the city with their counterparts from the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
According to pro-SDF activists, this visit from the U.S. Marines and State Department is supposed to be a direct message to Turkey that they will not abandon the city.
