Huawei has passed Samsung Electronics as the world’s No. 1 supplier of smartphones, Canalys reported.
The company achieved such indicators at the end of the second quarter of 2020.
According to analysts, Huawei sold 55.8 million smartphones in April-June, which is 5% less than a year ago, while Samsung sales fell 30% amid the COVID-19 pandemic – to 53.7 million smartphones.
In the past nine years, either Samsung or Apple has been in the lead in smartphone sales in the world.
