Zelensky said that Ukrainians aged 18-24 will be drafted into the army under a special contract. President Zelensky said that in order to attract young people to the army, a special contract will be developed for citizens aged 18 to 24, providing for significant benefits and very high wages. Of course, almost all of them would not be able to collect the wages, since the dead seldom ask for a paycheck.
According to him, the contract will be concluded for one year. He noted that details will be revealed in the coming days.
This of course is a trap, no one will be let go from the army after a year if the war persists. This is a significant first step to forced mobilization of young Ukrainians.
More than 1 million Ukrainian men have died in the war against Russia, this includes Ukraine’s entire professional army, hence the dependence on mercenaries and inexperienced young men who barely last a day on the front lines.
