DUI nominates Terrorist Hazbi Lika who organized Vejce massacre as Vice Prime Minister

Under pressure from US Ambassador Jess Baily, given the strict June 1st deadline, DUI’s leadership voted in few of their Ministers for the new Macedonian-Tirana Government.

“Thanks to constructive dialogue, DUI unanimously voted for the new cabinet for our upcoming Government. Vice PM and new minister in charge of Ohrid Framework implementation is Hazbi Lika, Vice Premier for integration will be Bujar Osmani, Minister for Ecology Sadula Duraku, Minister of Economy Bulent Saliu, and Kreshnik Bekteshi in addition to Ramiz Merko as the new ministers without portfolio” says Ahmeti for TV24.

Does this mean DUI wasn’t able to get the coveted Ministry of Defense?

Hazbi Lika was a leader of ONA (UCK’s 112th Brigade), a terrorist unit in Tetovo during the 2001 conflict and is one of the names tied to the ambush of Macedonian security forces in Vejce.

He was also a former mayor of Tetovo (2004-2008). According to Skopje daily Nova Makedonija, Lika pocketed over 3m euros from the city’s budget during his reign.

DUI’s Bujar Osmani, identified by Macedonian prosecutors of having been in direct communication with the terrorists in Kumanovo will receive a cabinet position. Sadula Duraku, the new minister of (Irony and) Ecology as member of the UCK in 2001 cut of the water supply to the residents of Kumanovo.

According to our sources, it’s now very likely that BESA will not be part of Baily’s new Government.

Having said that, though BESA is likely to be an opposition, the party will still support anything in relation to the Tirana platform.

As of this moment, the SDS, DUI and AA have enough MPs (62) to form a rather shaky Government majority.

    MINA love your work but you need to reduce the hysteria a little bit.
    If this is true, why don’t you mention that this means there will be LESS Albanian minister than under the VMRO led government?
    I am a little disheartened by the constant negative attitude, and quite frankly, biased journalism. Please try to implement a more unbiased, factual based reporting. That’s one of the basic principles of professional journalism.

      Lol, I never thought I’d see an SDS supporter here, and actually speak English. You’ve earned my respect I’ll tell you that much. Bothered by the fact that Pero calls it like it is “Baily’s Government”. ?

        Who said I’m an SDS supporter? I am a VMRO supporter, I’m just bothered by the mass hysteria. We won but we lost, I get it! I’m just saying that reporting needs to be done in an unbiased factual way. It took me two minutes to find out that actually the number of Albanian ministers is actuallu going to reduce

    Risto, read the entire thing first, it helps.
    First, the Ministry of Health also goes to DUI, as well as numerous other ministries. This focuses on the fact that a terrorist like Hazbi Lika will have a major stake in the function of the Government.

      Thanks for that VM. I’m aware of what was said, but when I go to the Vlada na republican website I count 11 ministers that are siptari. Apparently they will now have only 6 ministers so that is actually less! And let’s be honest, that terrorist xhaferi was made minister of defence when Vmro was in power! If you ask me they are both just as bad as each other.. it’s all about trying to figure out who is lesser of the evil

        Well, sorry to break it to you, but I used to be a VMRO supporter and now, i do not make a difference between Zaev and Gruevski even though that’s hard to believe.
        Zaev is mentally unfit, and Gruevski as well might be mentally unfit because his political moves are ones of a mentally unfit person.

          Goran, like I said I get it! I could not care whether vmro is good or sds is bad, I care about macedonia. And when I read an article about Macedonia I want it to be factually correct and unbiased. This article should have talked about the changes, and from what I can tell their is a decrease in the number of Albanians in ministerial roles. That’s my point
