The mayor of Tetovo Teuta Arifi has accumulated astonishing number of mega properties in the last four years, many of which are still in development.
Despite having a 1,000 euro monthly salary, the Tetovo mayor is somehow being able to afford one mega property after another, some of which are tailored to be hotels, while other private residences. All of them built without a license, illegally, in prime locations on the Shar mountain, right in the Ski center Popova Shapka.
For decades there’s been a law preventing building of any sort of object in the Popova Sapka ski center, most of which is a nature preserve. This, apparently doesn’t apply to Teuta Arifi. The VMRO-DPMNE let her do whatever she pleased while in coalition with DUI and certainly the same will occur and much worse is expected during DUI’s coalition with SDS.
How can one afford these mega projects on such a small salary, we’d all like to know.
