Long queues of traffic are being reported early Saturday, as cars mainly from Macedonia and Serbia are waiting for several hours to cross the border crossing Bogorodica to enter Greece.
Macedonian border services said that approximately around 10 to 15 thousand people are waiting to enter Greece. Both Macedonian and Greek border services operate normally and at full capacity, but say that overflow of people and vehicles are due to the extended weekend and summer vacations. They expect the situation to normalize during the afternoon hours.
Auto Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM) strongly recommends careful driving, adapted speed and respect of the traffic signalization.
