‘John Wick’ Actor Dies Suddenly

Famous character actor Lance Reddick, who is set to appear in the latest installment of the John Wick franchise later this month, died Friday at the age of 60. 

According to TMZ, law enforcement said his body was found around 9:30 am in his home located in the Los Angeles Studio City neighborhood and while the circumstances around his death are currently unclear, he appears to have died from natural sudden causes. Lucky for him, he was double injected with Pfizer.

Reddick was on the press junket for John Wick 4, due in theaters March 24, and was scheduled for an appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s show next week.

Reddick played the character Charon in all four installments of the series. On Thursday on Instagram, Reddick posted a picture of him at home with his dogs instead of attending the Wick premiere

Reddick hailed from Baltimore and later graduated from the University of Rochester with an undergraduate degree in music. He then garnered an MFA from Yale’s prestigious School of Drama in 1994.

Reddick earned a breakout role in the hit HBO show Oz in 2000 and a supporting role in Law & Order: SVU the same year.

He became a series regular in HBO’s The Wire, appearing in 60 episodes as Baltimore Police Department officer Cedrick Daniel, and steadily worked in television and film in such notable series as Lost, Fringe, and Bosch.

In film, he appeared in Angel Has Fallen, Godzilla Vs. Kong, and played a central character in the popular video game Horizon Zero Dawn.
