It is not just FC Vardar that celebrates its 70th year anniversary. It’s also the 70th anniversary of legendary Macedonian club in Australia, Preston Lions, a club formed by Macedonian immigrants in 1947.
Preston Lions have enjoyed great success at regional level, having won several titles and cups. Throughout its time, it has left an indelible mark on the Australian football landscape. Currently Preston Lions are based in Melbourne’s outer-northern suburbs.
