Workers at Zaev’s marijuana fields protest unpaid salaries

A company belonging to Zaev’s cousins who recently received a license to grow marijuana is facing problems after its workers announced a strike due to unpaid salaries.

The marijuana fields are owned by Trajce and Boban Zaev. The Strumica company is the first of its kind in Macedonia to be issued a license to legally grow marijuana.

Few expected that professional drug producers would not pay salaries to their workers. But it’s one of Zaev’s traits. Their strike is for three months of unpaid salaries and other benefits which they were promised but never received.
