Today in the Basic Court 1 in Skopje, Judge Marin Stanevski acquitted the journalist Milenko Nedelkovski.
The reason for such a verdict was the impossibility of the prosecution office led by its representative Aleksandar Markovski to prove the fabricated accusations against Nedelkovski.
During 2 years and 19 hearings, the witnesses (inspectors from the Ministry of Interior) summoned by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the expertise submitted by the Prosecution, not only did not prove Nedelkovski’s guilt, but did just the opposite, it proved his innocence.
During the whole process, Nedelkovski claimed and proved that all this is done to silence him and to deprive him of his most basic freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution: the freedom of expression, speech and opinion.
