After having a disastrous 2016 which saw the Macedonian national football team drop to 162nd position (worst in its history), in 2017, the red and yellow team did a complete u-turn and climbed up 86 spots in only 12 months (FIFA record), to finish 2017 ranked 76th.
The national team led by Igor Angelovski responded to all challenges and for the past year only lost to Spain 1-2.
At the top, things remain unchanged. Germany has the #1 spot followed by Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, France and Chile.
