The illegal SPO whose mandate ended over a year ago informed the public that after a comprehensive pre-trial procedure, an investigation was started under the code-name “Imperia” against Jordan Kamchev, Saso Mijalkov, Nenad Josifovic, Tzvetan Pandeski, Ratka Kunoska Kamcheva, Hristina Kamcheva Stojceska, Zorica Arsovska, Liljana Gajdovska, Vladislav Stajkovic, Todor Mircevski, Dejan Janev, Vance Mijalchev and Jovanche Taskovski.
According to the SPO, they will be prosecuted due to ‘reasonable suspicion’ of committed criminal acts, criminal association, damages or privileges of creditors, abuse of official position and authorization, fraud and money laundering and other punishable offenses.
The SPO in its statement to the press, states that during the pre-trial procedure, by undertaking various investigative actions as well as by applying special investigative measures, sufficient evidence was provided which resulted in a reasonable suspicion that in the period from 2002 to 2013 the suspects committed the crimes that were brought to their burden in person and through legal entities that were or are in their possession.
Today, the SPO, assisted by Spasovski’s police conducted 12 searches and detained five people, who during the day will be brought before a judge for preliminary procedures.
Meanwhile, Zoran Zaev remains the only Macedonian citizen abiding by the country’s laws.
